This book’s purpose is to show that the chronology, taught by Pastor Russell, conforms to the principles of logic, arithmetic, and measurement and is fully supported by and in harmony with the Holy Scriptures.

The following study, prepared in 1942, is a confirmation of the chronology accepted by Bible Students for more than 120 years. Yet it presents some fresh evidence worthy of consideration for every sincere student. It should be kept in mind that Hugo Karlén, Morton Edgar, and Charles Russell all concurred that any absolute synchronism of the kings of Judah with the 10-tribe kingdom of Israel may not be precise due to discrepancies or incomplete records of Israel’s kings. Yet the kings of Judah have a double confirmation in both the books of Chronicles and Kings. Therefore, the record of Judah’s kings should be regarded as the basis for any tabulation of Israel’s monarchy.
Basic and major concepts are put into bite-sized pieces so that we can gain a solid foundation for our faith and not be subject to periodic storms of controversy regarding the stream of time in the Bible.

In these latter years of the harvest, criticism of the chronology and prophetic time markers—while claiming Biblical basis—and while purporting to vindicate Pastor C.T. Russell, nevertheless, dismantles the chronology as presented in The Time is at Hand by 170 years and realigns time prophecies. That approach, while claiming a Biblical footing, fails to meet certain Scriptural requirements.
